CEREMONIAL START FOR WRC WALES RALLY
There was a festive mood at the ceremonial start to the 80th
running of the WRC Rally of Great Britain this evening at the Llandudno seafront in Wales. “It was very professionally run with hundreds of spectators gathering to see the drivers draw their starting positions. We drew number 13 – where we qualified, and with the fine weather conditions, this could be an advantage for us, as the lines will be clean,” said Jannie.
“Robbie and I spent some time on adjusting the pace notes, and we are both feeling more confident for the event which starts at 08h13 UK time.,” added Jan. The first special stage isDyfnant 1, over a distance of 20,48km, followed by the Hafren Sweet Lamb 1 stage over a distance of 24,87 km starting at 09h36.
Day 1 consists of a total of 6 special stages covering a total distance 146 km of special stages with the final stage being run at 15h19.
“ The service crews are all extremely well prepared, and the M-Sport team are all ready to take on the challenge of the WRC Wales Rally,” he added.
