Citroën owners in the greater Tshwane municipality can look forward to easier access to a franchised full-house dealership in their region thanks to the official opening of Citroën Centurion on 28 March 2012.
Operational since the beginning of November, Citroën Centurion represents a R2-million investment and boasts a modern showroom, state-of-the-art four-lift workshop and full parts support system.
The target for the business is to sell between 20 and 25 cars a month (the sales team comprises a sales manager and two dedicated salespeople). The two fully-trained Citroën technicians and support staff will ensure that customers receive consistent attention.
Some R300 000 has been spent on Citroën -specific service tool and equipment .
Previously, Citroën owners in the Pretoria would’ve been required to head to Hatfield or as far South as Fourways to have a vehicle serviced at an appointed dealership.
Headed up by Stan Jones as Dealer Principal and owned by motor industry entrepreneur Heinrich Uys, the stand-alone outlet is part of the privately-owned Select Auto Group and will be able to tap into a wealth of retail experience as well as the group’s financial muscle to offer customers the best possible deal on the full range of Citroen products.
Jones says they’ve already had a good response from the affluent surrounding suburbs, especially for the stylish DS line models, as well as strong interest from the business communities nearby.
“Our goal is to provide complete peace of mind, and a premium experience to our customers,” says Jones. “We will do this by creating a sense of teamwork, and by having a group of passionate employees who operate in an ethical and honest manner to meet the needs of existing and potential Citroën owners.”
Citroën Centurion is prominently positioned at the intersection of the R101 Old Johannesburg Road and Hendrik Verwoerd Drive, Centurion. They can be reached on 012 653 4198. The opening of Citroën brings to sixteen the number of outlets in the network, with all major metropolitan areas now covered.
