Giniel de Villiers drives Lexus

Giniel de Villiers, winner of the 2009 Dakar Rally and third in the 2012 event in an Imperial Toyota Hilux, has taken delivery of a sponsored Lexus LX570 from Imperial Toyota CapeGate. De Villiers will make his second appearance in the Imperial Toyota Hilux in the 2013 Dakar Rally in South America in January. For the duration of Imperial Toyota's Dakar sponsorship, which covers the period 2013 to 2015, the former SA off road champion and multiple circuit racing champion will not only have the use of the Lexus, but will also be able to stay on top of his game thanks to Imperial Toyota's title sponsorship of a Toyota Auris with which he is contesting the South African Rally Championship.
